Welcome to the 26-27 school year. We are excited to begin the new school year and look forward to working with both our new and returning Panthers.
I am humbly grateful for our community’s commitment, courage, and care displayed in so many different ways. With the start of the new school year, we have new opportunities to improve the lives and futures of our students.
I cannot emphasize enough how important it is for students to get involved in school by joining a club, activity, participating in sports, or the arts. PHS has a wealth of choices. Every student can be involved and make his or her own high school experience enlightening, successful, and memorable. We want to ensure that students make memories of a lifetime and take the skills, life lessons, and knowledge they have acquired during their brief four years at Perris High School and utilize them after they leave us.
It is our responsibility to embrace the idea that our individual contributions lay the foundation for those students who come behind us.
Our school is dependent upon the community. We want to make sure for this year to increase parent involvement, we will continue to encourage and promote parent participation through our School Site Council (SSC), English Learner Advisory Committee (ELAC), African American Parent Advisory Committee (AAPAC), Quarterly Coffee with the Principal meetings, and other parent workshops provided by our Family Engagement Center. We welcome healthy partnerships with families, as it is essential that educators and parents join forces to provide a rich and supportive educational experience for our students, regardless of a student’s background or experience.
As we are constantly striving to improve, please let us know if there is any way we can enhance our educational programs to make your student’s experience better. The most valuable asset a school or organization can have is its human capital. As a team of teachers, parents, and staff, greatness can be accomplished. Our staff has dedicated itself to continual improvement and we ask all the PHS community to do the same.

Bienvenidos al año escolar 26-27. Estamos emocionados de comenzar el nuevo año escolar y esperamos trabajar con nuestros estudiantes, tanto los nuevos como los que regresan.
Estoy profundamente agradecido por el compromiso y la dedicación que nuestra comunidad ha demostrado de tantas maneras diferentes. Con el inicio del año escolar 26-27, tenemos nuevas oportunidades para mejorar la vida y el futuro de nuestros estudiantes.
No puedo enfatizar lo suficiente la importancia de que los estudiantes se involucren en la escuela uniéndose a un club, participando en actividades, deportes, o las artes. PHS ofrece una gran variedad de opciones. Cada estudiante puede participar y hacer que su experiencia en la escuela secundaria sea enriquecedora, exitosa, y memorable. Nuestra escuela depende de la comunidad. Dear Students, Families, and Community Members,
Welcome to a new school year! It is an honor to serve as one of the Assistant Principals here at Perris High School, where we are dedicated to providing a safe, inclusive, and academically challenging environment for every student. At Perris High School, we believe that every student has the potential to thrive when they are supported by strong relationships, high expectations, and opportunities to grow both academically and personally.
As Assistant Principal, my role is to work in partnership with our talented staff, engaged families, and committed community to ensure that every student feels a sense of belonging and is empowered to succeed. Whether it's through supporting effective instruction, maintaining a positive school climate, or fostering leadership and responsibility in our students, I am committed to ensuring that our school remains a place where excellence and equity go hand in hand.

Assistant Principal's Message
Hello All! My name is David Na’il. I was born in Riverside, CA. Though I typically am a home-body, I do enjoy physical activities and watching football and basketball games when I have the time. I graduated from Moreno Valley High School and then served in the military for about 7 years. I got out of the military and then earned my BA in English from Fayetteville State University - an HBCU (Historically Black College and University) and then taught for five years.
During my teaching career, I enrolled in the University of North Carolina at Pembroke and earned my master’s degree, and went into school administration. I have been there ever since. I am back home now (California) serving in the same administrative capacity and I truly enjoy what I do. This is my first year at PHS and I am indeed grateful for the opportunities given to me to serve our young people.
Education saved my life. It allowed me the opportunity to give back…to my mother who inspired the thought of me going to college in the first place, and to the community that I serve.

I am honored and excited to serve the Perris High School community as an Assistant Principal. With more than 20 years of experience in education, my journey began as an AVID Tutor and Paraeducator and has included roles as an Education Specialist, Program Specialist, and Assistant Principal.
Throughout my career, I have been committed to ensuring that all students receive the support, opportunities, and encouragement they need to succeed. I believe that every student has unique strengths and deserves the opportunity to reach their full potential.
I believe that strong relationships, high expectations, and a student-centered approach are the foundation of a positive and inclusive school environment. I strive to lead with compassion, cultural awareness, and integrity in all of my interactions with students, families, and staff.
I am passionate about serving our community and look forward to partnering with students, families, and staff as we continue to build on the tradition of excellence at Perris High School.

Assistant Principal's Message
Hello, my name is Rashiid Burgo and I proudly serve as one of the Assistant Principals at Perris High School. I have been in education and more specifically in the field of athletics for over 22 years. I am a United States Air Force veteran, I earned my bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from San Diego State University, a teaching credential from San Diego Christian College, and a master’s degree from Grand Canyon University.
I have dedicated the past 20 years to serving as a Physical Education teacher and then Athletic Director, where I have been committed to fostering student success, promoting leadership, and building strong athletic programs. I am native of San Diego, a proud husband and father of four. My passion lies in creating opportunities for student-athletes to thrive both on and off the field.
