I have been a parent volunteer for more than 15 years in different schools and school districts, I have learned through the years the importance of being involved in our children's education. This path has led me to achieve the academic success of my children, two already in college and the two little ones on the way to achieve it are in grade 11 and 10. I like to make constructive and beneficial contributions to the community that I belong to. Through the information that I have obtained during these years participating in different committees such as ELAC, DELAC, SSC, PELI, PAC, PTA, PTSA, special education committees, among others. I would like to continue working together with the school board and the community to continue helping and providing knowledge for the benefit of my entire community. |

I am a very dedicated parent to the needs and services for all of the children, not just own. I am willing to work collaboratively, learn and be a voice for parents and students, and build stronger community within the high school. I also have a deeper understanding of education and know how important families are. I am willing to come with an open mind and no bias. |

I am a mother of 3 students who attend PHS. I am currently employed by the Labor Commisioners Office for the State of California. I do inspections and investigations for businesses in our state and ensure they follow our current labor laws. I would like to be part of School Site Council to be more involved in my community as well as ensure the parents and the students of PHS voices are heard and we can all come together and work together to provide the best opportunties to our students. |

I am a local real estate agent in the city of Perris employed at Castaneda Real Estate. I’d like to be a part of my younger siblings school council because it will allow me a chance to be more involved and and engage with his studies while my parents can’t due to work and language barriers. Working in the community I think gives me a chance to give relevant insight or input while helping voice my parents concerns and questions. |

I am an educator in another district, and a community member I value education and the opportunities students are afforded. I recognize we all play a role in the success of our kits and improving community. I am interested in School Site Council's role in governance of how funding is allocated, the advisory role in school safety and wellness and a role in supporting the overall school community. |

My name is Romelia Duran, I am 47 years old, been married for 24 years and I am a mother of 5 girls. I work as an administrative assistant and in the human resources department for Pointdirect Transport. I have lived in Perris, CA for 25 years. I am fluent in English and Spanish. I am also a notary public and currently attending UCR to become a paralegal. All of my girls have been through the Perris school district. They started at Rob Reiner, then transitioned to Good Hope Elementary and finally went to CMI. My two oldest daughters graduated from CMI and are currently attending the university. I have always been involved in the schools either volunteering or as a member of PTA. I would love to have the opportunity to make a difference by being in the school site council. I have always been very involved in my girls' school activities and would like to continue doing so. |

I went to a high school that was similar to Perris High. I barely graduated and then got serious about school and went to USC for nursing and UCLA for my masters degree. I feel like I can help the school and students because of my life experience. Thank you. |

Soy mamá voluntaria por más de 15 años en diferentes escuelas y distritos escolares, eh aprendido a través de los años la importancia del involucramiento académico de nuestros hijos. Este camino me a llevado a lograr el éxito académico de mis hijos, dos ya en la universidad y los dos pequeños en el camino a lograrlo se encuentrantran en el grado 11 y 10. Me gusta hacer aportaciones constructivas y de beneficio a la comunidad que pertenezco a través de la información que logro obtener durante estos años participando en diferentes comités como lo son Elac, Delac, SSC, Peli, PAC, PTA, PTSA, comités de educacion especial, entre otros. Me gustaría seguir trabajando en conjunto a la directiva escolar y la comunidad para seguir ayudando y aportando conocimientos para el beneficio de toda mi comunidad. |

Realizo inspecciones e investigaciones para empresas en nuestro estado y me aseguro de que sigan nuestras leyes laborales vigentes. Me gustaría ser parte del Consejo del Plantel Escolar para involucrarme más en mi comunidad y asegurarme de que las voces de los padres y estudiantes de PHS sean escuchadas y todos podamos unirnos y trabajar juntos para brindar las mejores oportunidades a nuestros estudiantes. |

Me gustaría ser parte del consejo escolar de mis hermanos menores porque me dará la oportunidad de participar más y participar en sus estudios, mientras que mis padres no pueden hacerlo debido a las barreras laborales y del idioma. Trabajar en la comunidad creo que me da la oportunidad de brindar información o aportes relevantes mientras ayudo a expresar las preocupaciones y preguntas de mis padres. |

He vivido en Perris, CA durante 25 años. Hablo inglés y español con fluidez. También soy notario público y actualmente asisto a la UCR para convertirme en asistente legal. Todas mis niñas han pasado por el distrito escolar de Perris. Comenzaron en Rob Reiner, luego hicieron la transición a la escuela primaria Good Hope y finalmente fueron a CMI. Mis dos hijas mayores se graduaron de CMI y actualmente asisten a la universidad. Siempre he estado involucrado en las escuelas, ya sea como voluntario o como miembro de la PTA. Me encantaría tener la oportunidad de hacer una diferencia al estar en el concilio escolar. Siempre he estado muy involucrado en las actividades escolares de mis niñas y me gustaría seguir haciéndolo. |

Soy una madre que trabaja a tiempo completo y siento pasión por que los estudiantes de secundaria logren su máximo potencial y sepa qué oportunidades están disponibles para ellos. Fui a una escuela secundaria similar a Perris High. Apenas me gradué y luego tomé en serio la escuela y fui a la USC para enfermería y UCLA para mi maestría. Siento que puedo ayudar a la escuela y a los estudiantes gracias a mi experiencia de vida. Gracias. |
